Bible-based Spelling Curriculum - 1st Grade

Ever since I started teaching in a Christian school, I have tried to incorporate God and biblical themes into as many areas of the curriculum as possible. God is intricately involved in all aspects of our lives, and I want my students to see that He is involved in every subject area, not just Bible class. 

How could I incorporate the Bible into the spelling/language arts part of the curriculum? I started to add some challenge spelling words that were found in our weekly memory verse. Words like faith, salvation, righteousness, depending on the level of the child. But this break allowed me time to go a step further. I had an idea to create an entire spelling curriculum that pulled spelling words directly from Scripture. Now, two weeks later, here we are. I am so excited to share this resource! My goal is to continue working on additional grade levels, but for now, first grade is ready.
